FEATURES: Annual herb. Plant green to purple throughout. Leaves opposite, ovate to cordate, crenate edges.
Stems square. Mint-like smell when plant material crushed. Elongated flowering stem at apex of plant.
Flowers small, white.
DESCRIPTION: Common in pasture forest edges. More adapted to partial shade to shaded areas. Plant is highly
toxic to ruminants.
