FEATURES: Erect or spreading annual dicot weed. Opposite lanceolate leaves with irregular teeth, no petiole.
Axillary flowers, white ray flowers, mature into circular shaped green disk. Seed column shaped
easily dehisce when dry.
DESCRIPTION: Plant often mistaken for Virginia buttonweed or other weeds within the Rubiaceae family due to
opposite leaves. Leaves do not have characteristics notch of Rubiaceae family. Flowers are also
characteristic of all Asteraceous weeds with ray and disk flowers.
